On New Year's Eve I spent 13 hours documenting one of the most amazing weddings I have ever shot. Aaron is a semi-professional Baseball player and Ashlea is an elementary school teacher. With Aaron traveling most of the year for baseball they have had to endure a lot of distance. Their relationship required a lot of patience, perseverance, and communication in order to make the most out the miles that separated them.
Everyone told Aaron, "You are crazy if you don't put a ring on it." And last year he took all this gathered advice and got down on one knee and proposed to Ashlea. It was something that was so important to their relationship because it meant more than a commitment, it was a promise for an eternal kind of love.
In planning their wedding they decided on New Years Eve in Las Vegas, the city in which they grew up. They wanted a celebration with all of their closest family and friends to ring in the new year. There were lots of tears shed, so many hugs, kisses, and the best father of the bride speech I have ever heard. There were points where I was hiding behind my camera in order to mask the sobbing. It was the most beautiful sight to see two people just completely and madly in love.
2018, you have already been good to us! Cheers to the rest of this amazing year!
