Sunday morning I had the pleasure of waking up at 5am to get ready to shoot Tatiana and Leo at Karon Beach in Phuket. Leo proposed to Tatiana at the airport before their trip to Thailand. Seriously, how perfect is that? I was so stoked that I was going to shoot their engagement photos, but I was also super nervous because they are Russian and I was worried I wouldn't be able to direct as well with the language barrier.
The days leading up to the shoot I was driving around Phuket trying to find the perfect spot to catch the sunrise. There was a beach that was pretty small and more secluded that I decided was going to be our location. The water was aquamarine blue and the scenery around the beach was to die for. Everything in Thailand is so lush and vibrant, so I wanted to make sure I captured that in this engagement session.
The morning of our shoot I woke up wide awake. I left way early incase I had any trouble and even had a problem finding a tuk tuk that was up at 5:30 am to take me to the beach. When I finally met up with Tatiana and Leo I just felt like we were going to be life long friends. Tatiana speaks a little bit of english, so we were able to teach each other some of our language.
Our whole shoot was seriously perfect. They are just so in love and it totally shows in these. I just had them play in the water and they looked like freaking movie stars.
