Two days ago I had the pleasure of enduring the cold weather for Mike and Caylin's engagement session. We ran around, got warm, and I third wheeled while they cuddled each other. It was the best way to spend an afternoon when it's below freezing!
If you ever text me and say, "Hey, I rented a cabin in the mountains, can we do a photo session there?" I will 100% say yes! I love adventures, I love trekking through the forest for spots, and I love curling up by a fireplace with hot cocoa while enjoying the log cabin ambiance. That's what my day was like yesterday.
It's that time of year... The time when we say our goodbyes to the year that's passed. Where we praise our accomplishments and embrace our not so brilliant moments. NYE is about reflection for me, and how far I have come since the beginning of the year. 2017 was the year my business actually took off!
Two weeks ago I spent the weekend in Nashville, TN. It's one of my favorite cities in the US. So when newly engaged Haley and Sam asked about taking their engagements around the city I didn't hesitate. They're wedding is in October 2018, and I seriously can't wait for the party that's going to be. They are both such spunky and fun humans, spending time with them was a serious treat. We started our session on a Saturday at 6:30 am, in the downtown area. There was a Christmas marathon starting around that time, so it was entertaining to see runners dressed up as reindeer and Santa Clauses as we were snapping pics around the city.
