A Soft Boho Styled Summer Wedding at Sandos Finisterra Resort in Cabo Mexico
Kirsty and Anthony had a roller coaster of an experience of planning their San Diego wedding. They knew they wanted to have a whole weekend long fiesta with their closest family and friends on the beach, so they landed on Sandos Finisterra in Cabo San Lucas for what was originally their springtime wedding. Kirsty and Anthony are both well know fitness trainers in Kansas City, and unfortunately Kirsty had an accident a couple months before her wedding where she was working out and tore her Achilles heel. She was unable to fully walk for months. She was determined to walk down the aisle with her father, so her and Anthony made the hard decision to move their wedding from May 2021 to July 2021 so Kirsty had time to recover from surgery and go through physical therapy.
The wait was worth it though because everyone was just absolutely ready to party this weekend! My husband Caleb and I (he is my talented second shooter and always brings a little extra party energy with him) got there a couple days early so that we could document their rehearsal dinner and shoot some casual photos of these babes on the beach before their wedding. The first half of these San Diego Wedding Photography are from their relaxed rehearsal dinner with their entire wedding at one of the dining areas at the resort before we dove into some intimate candid photos of the couple around the resort and on the Cabo beaches! This day was so magical, we even were lucky enough to have a little firework show on the beach as we were wrapping up shooting.
San Diego Wedding
The San Diego wedding day was so high energy and great! The florals and all the colors were so complimentary to the venue, but gave it a more stylish boho look that made it elegant yet casual. Photographing the decor and the details was almost as fun as shooting the actual wedding photography! BUT the energy around the wedding was just so incredible and emotional, I will honestly never forget how good it felt to be apart of this wedding and having the opportunity to document it as San Diego Wedding Photographer!
